Frequently Asked Questions about Texas Tin Roof Cabin

Do you accept pets?
Pets are welcome with no extra charges or fees. Please note that Texas Tin Roof Cabin is not fenced and is in a neighborhood with other dogs and wildlife that are not leashed. Kennels and crates are not required unless you plan on leaving your dogs inside the house while you are away. We also request that pets who do enjoy the indoors are housebroken. Damage caused by pets will be the responsibility of the guest.

Is there a boat ramp nearby?
Yes, there is a boat ramp as well as a fishing dock in the nearby cove (about 200 yards from Texas Tin Roof Cabin.)

Can I tie my boat to the dock?
The water is usually at a level that is high enough to accommodate boats being tied to the dock but please do so at your own risk. We do not recommend leaving a boat unattended overnight.

Is there a beach area?
Though not a traditional ocean beach, the cove has a sandy area for sitting out in your lounge chair to soak up the rays and to allow the kids to swim and search for fossils.

Do you provide bed linens?
All of the beds in the cabin are fully made with clean sheets, blankets and a comforter. We do not provide daily maid service but there are extra bed linens provided should you need them.

Do you provide towels?
Yes, we will provide clean towels and washcloths but we do suggest that you bring your own beach towels.

Are your cabins non-smoking?
Smoking is allowed on the deck and other outdoor areas. There is NO smoking indoors.

Do you have TV?
There is a color TV, a VCR and a DVD player in the living room. There is no cable but you do receive plenty of major network channels. (If we had cable installed, we would never have gotten our kids out of the house to enjoy all there is to do at Texas Tin Roof Cabin!) We do, however, have numerous videos from various genres and LOTS of Disney videos for use during your stay.

Is there Internet Access on Site?
No! It's not a vacation if you have to work on your computer.

Will my cell phone work at Texas Tin Roof Cabin?
Most cell phones will work in various areas on, around, or near Texas Tin Roof Cabin. From our experience, Cingular has been the most consistent in the cabin while Sprint has been the least.

When is check in and check-out?
Normal check-in is 3 p.m and check-out is 11 a.m. If you are interested in early check-in or late check out, please inquire when making your reservation. Provided there are no other guests scheduled for the nights before or after your stay, we can be flexible with your check-in and check-out times. If other guests are scheduled, we ask that you honor the usual check-in and check-out times. This allows us to prepare the Cabin for the next guest.
